Who was studied?
A study of rehabilitation patients does not automatically tell us what will happen in healthy people. Check diagnoses, age and concurrent treatment. Interpret results in the context of the studied population.
What was compared?
Check whether IHHT was a standalone intervention or an addition to rehabilitation. Look at the control treatment and whether allocation was randomised. These details influence the strength of the conclusions.
Improvement versus an advantage over control
Improvement within one group does not establish an advantage over another. Between-group differences, uncertainty and clinical relevance matter. An isolated percentage may be misleading.
Where can you find the source?
Start with the full publication or its PubMed record. A conference abstract and a manufacturer brochure provide different levels of detail from a full paper. Our research section links directly to the studies.
